Negative Bodyweight Push-Up

The negative bodyweight push-up is a push-up you can probably do. Yes, even if you can't do regular push-ups.

Here's How to Perform the Negative Bodyweight Push-Up:

  • Start in the top position of a push-up:
    • Your body should be straight from head to toe.
    • Squeeze your glutes.
    • Place your hands under your shoulders. Slightly rotate your fingers out.
    • You should have weight evenly distributed on all of your fingers, palm, and over your thumb.
    • Brace your core.
  • Take a breath into your stomach and back through that nose.
  • As you breathe out - slowly lower yourself to the ground.
  • Aim for a 3-5 count on the way down.
