The negative bodyweight push-up is a push-up you can probably do. Yes, even if you can't do regular push-ups.
Here's How to Perform the Negative Bodyweight Push-Up:
- Start in the top position of a push-up:
- Your body should be straight from head to toe.
- Squeeze your glutes.
- Place your hands under your shoulders. Slightly rotate your fingers out.
- You should have weight evenly distributed on all of your fingers, palm, and over your thumb.
- Brace your core.
- Take a breath into your stomach and back through that nose.
- As you breathe out - slowly lower yourself to the ground.
- Aim for a 3-5 count on the way down.
