Professional Backstory: Steven graduated from the University of Missouri in 2014 after walking on to the football team from 2010-2013. In 2015, he founded Simple Solutions Fitness out of the back of his car. For about the first year, he hauled weights to homes and offices before settling in to share a commercial space with two Physical therapists at Broadway Ergonomics.
In January 2017, Steven moved SSF to its current location, 3930 S Providence Rd Suite B, Columbia, Missouri 65203, near E Nifong Blvd & S Providence Rd. In 2018, he was invited to the now defunct Kansas City Fitness Summit to interview and co-author an article on business development with longtime editor and writer for Men's Health, Lou Schuler. Over 7 years as its sole employee, Steven grew SSF, hosted and spoke at numerous presentations and developed a 13-week internship through which he hired his first employee, Maggie Hillmann.
